The freight quote salesman had been calling me for months trying to get me to book freight with him. Finally I did book a pallet of machinery with him using Southeastern.
I have used Southeastern for shipping plenty of times before and the driver had already stopped at my place 3 times that week for other deliveries. But the freight quote pallet was not in my usual delivery. Then, at 5 pm I got a call from southeastern letting me know that they were going to bring out a pallet. Well, I did not request a 24 hour notice and wanted to know why they didn't include it in the load delivered earlier that day, the quoted delivery day? The next day they came out in a lift gate truck. I did NOT request a lift truck as we have had a fork lift here for over 10 years. I unloaded the pallet with my fork lift and was charged for a lift gate truck that I did not request, need or use. Freight quote billed me for these services that I did NOT request.
Several calls to freight quote produced no results and each time they acted like it was the first time they had heard about the problem as "there is no note in your account about this."
They kept sending bills for most of a year and each time I called them. Again producing no results. Finally, I quit opening them and now throw them straight into the trash.
I will never use them again and I let their salesman know that each time they call trying to get me to book more freight with them.
