Doubled bill after delivery

This scammers quoted me a one price and after it was delivered it doubled in price. They tried to tell me that it was because of a commodity change but they are the ones that told me the commodity to put. Stay away from these scam artists. Customer service was no help and the broker that quoted me apparently never worked there, but the emails prove it came from their company. This whole thing is a perfect reason why freight companies are mostly fly by night businesses. Stay Away from Southeastern Freight Lines. They will rob you and then laugh in your face about it. They also missed the original pick up day and time, but that is minor compared to this.

I recently had Hurricane damage to my patio. To prepare for Thanksgiving, I ordered replacement panels for my patio roof.

The company that provides these panels rolls them into a tube shape and wraps them. Well there was damage. Clearly something heavy ran over the panels. There is no way to see the damage until it was unwrapped at my home.

Because of scheduled rain, there goes my big family Thanksgiving this year. Accidents happen and can be expected. What was not expected was the total disregard by Ed McQueen at Southeastern Freight claims department. Short of having photos of them running over the package, he refuses to help resolve this matter.

It isn't about the $270 plus shipping costs to replace the broken panels. It is the horrible customer service. You shouldn't have to gamble with your money when you use Southeastern Freight. They will do everything possible not to pay you.

I believe the company I bought the product from will stop using Southeastern for Miami deliveries. Furthermore, I am in the TV business. Makes me think if this is happening to me, it must be happening to lots of other people.

Can't measure freight to save their life

I shipped out a crate which I have sent 100 different times with the same contents and dimensions with 5 other freight companies with SE. Decide to give SE a try because of their low fare and sure enough, get the invoice and it has been re-classed to double and now the bill is double as well. I supply them with the dimensions again, weight again, pictures of the box but they deny the claim and give me a sorry but you're responsible for the entire bill. Interesting that with them its a huge box, but with R+L, Oak Harbor, XPO, Saia and UPS Frieight, its the same class I list on the BOL. Do yourself a favor and stay away from SE.

Southeastern Freight Lines - Terrible and incomptent

1st package: Driver couldn't figure out how to get to house, parked a block away, told me he couldn't handle package, then eventually walked it on a handtruck to house. Damaged package and item.

Refused. He complained and complained, and sat there complaining to his dispatcher while I was there. 2nd replacement package: Called me and scheduled a 3 hour delivery window. Didn't show up.

Next day, I called them, and they said it was out for delivery between 2 and 4. Told them this was the 3rd afternoon I'd had to take off work, and they needed to give me a firm time. They said 2 to 4. Called me back at 3:45 to say driver wouldn't be there by 4, rather 5:30 to 6.

I complained about their service to the dispatcher, who did not care. Driver showed up at 6:30.

Package damaged and merchandise damaged again. Refused.

Three delivery errors to my home in two weeks. First errr was missing furniture that two weeks later they said they found but proceeded to delivered someone else's merchandise to my home that wasn't even furniture. Then a week later they delivered my merchandise (a grill that I ordered) to someone else's home and left it in the middle of their driveway. In order to be able to use their driveway, they had to haul the large, heavy grill to my house. It ain't that hard - there are names and addresses on the packages! The worst I have EVER experienced.

Broken dinning set

They broke my dinning table and spilled coffee on the delivery ticket so that no one could read want I wrote on the ticket ,but I have pictures of the damaged box setting on the truck that the driver didn't see me take.

Southeastern as of lately have been missing our pickups way too many times. I have scheduled pick up through Freight Quote and direct through us, I even call to make sure they are coming and they always assure me they are. But they do not show for about 2-3 days. If you guys don't want our business we will just give it to another. We scheduled a pick up on 7/13 with no show , called and rescheduled for 7/14 again no show , today is 7/17 and the freight is now late. We are having UPS or ABF pick this up today because I am sure Southeastern is not showing. We are removing you guys from our shipping list both outgoing and incoming. We have notified our customers of the removal.

Pathetic little company...Refused to honor contractual obligations...Arrogant. condescending, rude employees with nasty attitude...Avoid!!!!!!!!

Garland, Texas terminal needs immediate customer relations training in order to attempt to conduct themselves in a viable manner conducive to repeat business...

This would include the dispatcher who would not even come to the phone and his assistant who he hides behind and does the dirty work for him...Apparently this dispatcher is unwilling to have direct contact with the customer to which SEFL is contractually obligated........If you want drama and tension in your life, this is you outfit. Otherwise, I suggest a more established organization with good reviews and reputation.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in 35 years of dealing with carriers. Missed delivery date, tried to make up for the incompetence by getting nasty on the phone and refusing to move the issue up the ladder. I had to call corporate office to try and resolve; shipment ended up being 3 days late and cost me $400 for contractors waiting on equipment to be delivered. No follow up after delivery was finally made, refused my request to refund any/all of the shipping costs to make up for my losing money on their mistake. I will never use them again and I will make sure that anyone or company that I order from is made aware of this issue.

COMPLAINT

You have an employee in your Louisiana company that is using his job to pick up women and cheat. He is married and is using unsuspecting women. I was a victim of this employee and I work for one of the companies he picks up loads from. I had thought of notifying my employer and terminating your contract but decided to let you know instead to prevent anyone else from being scammed by this individual. I prefer to keep my name hidden due to my remorse for the act I played in this situation. You should investigate your employess behavior on the job as well as off since this reflects on your company

Horrible driver attitude

As I was attempting to load a trailer into my warehouse bay, the driver parks his truck in between the bay and my trailer. I go around to the drivers door and ask him to move. He cuts the truck off and says he will only be a minute. I say dude I am actively loading this trailer into this bay as I point out the fact that he is parked between. He says I have a job to do. I then give him the proper cussing he deserves and he cops an attitude that I cussed him out. Starts to walk off until I tell him I'm calling his company to complain. He then comes back and moves back the 10 feet I need (he has 2000 feet to unload). The company never calls back to confirm or fix my complaint after calling twice. He shows up 30 minutes later to pick up my load and I have to throw him off the property. I obviously called another company.

If you can help it at all, DO NOT do business with this freight line. Their customer service is awful and the first time I received something from them the item was damaged severely. When I called to report it they did not care at all and simply told me to call the company whom I ordered the product from. This may just be an issue with the Houston office, however the item was shipped from New Jersey. Somewhere along the way SEFL damaged it and no one took responsibility. The box was so mangled and when we opened it so was the custom table we ordered. Now I am in a wait and see period to see when I will get the new table.

Delayed shippments, drivers from h ell

A mfg. we purchase from for some reason likes this freight line. We have been forced to use them on 3 different shipments and all three had delays after delays, The most resent shipment was supposed to be here on Thur. was told it would be Fri. then told it would be Mon. then Tues. Anyone see a pattern here.... The terminal is 85 miles from here and their trucks were in town each and every day picking up, but they couldn't deliver our freight. If the lying wasn't enough from their people on the phone the drivers were arrogant every time. (3 different drivers) I will never accept a delivery from this company again, nor ever ship out with them. I suggest you not deal with them, period!

Whoa... after reading your comment, beginning with, "A mfg.we purchase from for some reason likes this freight line", I have a new sense of appreciation and indebtedness for my parents' efforts to read to me as a child.
